"Hollywood is so f**ked up."

Out actor Colton Haynes is furious at Hollywood executives who refuse to cast gay actors to play heterosexual roles. In a series of tweets yesterday afternoon, the Teen Wolf actor shared a piece of his mind on Twitter with his nearly 2 million followers.

This isn't the first time Haynes has spoken out about Hollywood's homophobia. He didn't come out as gay for years because people in the industry warned him it might hurt his career. "I’ve been told by so many people that you cannot be out and have a career," he explained to HuffPost. "People would set me up with girls for press. There was this whole story that ran with Lauren Conrad, who I love — she’s the best. Basically, my old manager at the time was like, 'Oh, take a picture with her.' He just basically ran this story trying to say that I was dating Lauren Conrad. It was there for about six months. I was like, 'Oh great, I have to do this.' That’s how it is in Hollywood. But not anymore. You have all these amazing showrunners who actually embrace people’s personal lives and embrace people’s truth."

Murphy, Berlanti, and Davis, the names Haynes referenced in his tweets, are the producers who cast him in American Horror Story: Cult, Arrow, and Teen Wolf respectively. While Haynes is appearing on the last season of Teen Wolf and American Horror Story: Cult later this year, it seems he believes he's not being given the chance he deserves for other roles because of his sexuality.

The number of LGBTQ roles in Hollywood is much smaller than you might think. Earlier this year, GLAAD released its annual report on queer representation in film and revealed only 18.4% of the industry’s top 125 films included an LGBTQ character and only 4% of television characters.

Colton Haynes spoke out about his personal struggle with mental illness on World Mental Health Day via Instagram, promoting an important stigma-countering narrative.

"Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay," Haynes writes. "This is a photo I took of myself about a month ago when I had reached a point where I had no idea what to do. I had been in bed crying/paralyzed for 3 wks with no explanation. My personal life & career were at an all time high. I've talked about this before but I can't stress enough how important it is to seek help when your feeling down or in your darkest moments. I've struggled with Anxiety & Depression since I was in the 5th grade & it's not something that should go untreated or uncared for. I know a lot of people don't understand mental illness & pass it off as ppl being dramatic...but it's a chemical Imbalance that no one wants to struggle through. It's not easy. So let's all take a second to reach out to those in need of help & those who just need someone to talk to or some encouragement. A little love goes a long way. My heart is with my fellow survivors & ppl struggling through this disease...you aren't alone."

Haynes is one of many who continue to break a tradition of silence surrounding issues that currently affect over 600 million people globally, according to a recent World Health Organization report. On National Coming Out Day—a time of celebration as well as tension, indecision, fear and anxiety for many—putting this narrative in the forefront is vital not only to LGBTQ psychological well-being, but survival.

Haynes will reprise the role of Roy Harper (AKA Arsenal) on The CW Series for a handful of episodes.

The couple have called it quits after only a few months of marriage. 

According to TMZ, Teen Wolf and Arrow actor Colton Haynes has officially broken up with his husband of 6 months Jeff Leatham.

The celebrity news website also reports that Colton has unfollowed Jeff on Instagram and has cleared his page of any photos having to do with the celebrity florist. 

Colton and Jeff got married in a private ceremony in late October of last year, and were, at one point in their marriage, planning on having kids together. 

This breakup news comes on the heels of Colton releasing a new, acoustic song called "Man, It Sucks,"reports Just Jared. 

Although Colton has yet to make a public statement on his social media accounts regarding his separation with Jeff, we'll update this post as soon as he does.

The Arrow actor and the celebrity florist were married for six months.

Late last week, TMZ reported that Teen Wolf and Arrow actor Colton Haynes broke up with husband of 6 months Jeff Leatham. 

Now, the celebrity gossip website is also reporting that Haynes has officially filed for a divorce from the celebrity florist. 

"The Teen Wolf star filed docs Tuesday in Los Angeles just 6 months after he married Jeff last October in a star-studded wedding in Palm Springs officiated by Kris Jenner,"wrote TMZ.

Before their split, Haynes and Leatham were planning on having kids together. The news of their breakup last week came on the heels of Haynes releasing a song called "Man It Sucks," although he has taken to Twitter to deny fan accusations of the song being about him.

Colton Haynes & Jeff Leatham Are Officially Getting Divorced

The film was almost even gayer.....

A deleted scene from the beloved gay teen rom-com Love, Simon features the one and only Colton Haynes!

The new clip begins with characters Nick and Simon awkwardly hanging around in a gay club.

"I think that guy is checking me out," says Nick.

Simon rolls his eyes. "You've said that about literally every guy since we got here."

"Well, what can I say? The gays love me!"

At that moment, Kevin (Colton Haynes) walks up and "confuses" Simon for someone named Alex. You'll have to watch the rest of the scene yourself. 

But why was the scene deleted?

Gay Star News reports that the whole sequence didn't quite fit into the film's story. "It just slowed down the narrative," said director Greg Berlanti. "It felt like we were jumping the gun about what his experience was." 

Screenwriter Isaac Aptaker agreed."There was a big sequence that we wrote and filmed where Nick takes Simon out to a gay bar after he comes out and before he goes back to school for his first day," he explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "The guys were great in it, and Greg did a great job with it, but in terms of the momentum of the movie, it was this long sequence that took you out of the world we'd been in." He added, "It messed up the pacing and the momentum of the movie, so we had to cut it."

"Excited to be back on #Arrow again!" Haynes wrote on Instagram. "Thanks for all of y'alls love & support."

Haynes will reprise the role of Roy Harper (AKA Arsenal) on The CW Series for a handful of episodes.

"Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team," said executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle in a statement. "His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences..."

Colton Haynes Is Here to Save the Day With a Heroic Return to Arrow

Executive producers of the popular CW superhero drama series said in a joint statement, "We’re very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton [Haynes] to Arrow. While we've always enjoyed Colton’s returns to the show, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular."

We'll Be Seeing More of Colton Haynes on Arrow in the Near Future

The couple have called it quits after only a few months of marriage. 

According to TMZ, Teen Wolf and Arrow actor Colton Haynes has officially broken up with his husband of 6 months Jeff Leatham.

The celebrity news website also reports that Colton has unfollowed Jeff on Instagram and has cleared his page of any photos having to do with the celebrity florist. 

Colton and Jeff got married in a private ceremony in late October of last year, and were, at one point in their marriage, planning on having kids together. 

This breakup news comes on the heels of Colton releasing a new, acoustic song called "Man, It Sucks,"reports Just Jared. 

Although Colton has yet to make a public statement on his social media accounts regarding his separation with Jeff, we'll update this post as soon as he does.

The Arrow actor and the celebrity florist were married for six months.

Late last week, TMZ reported that Teen Wolf and Arrow actor Colton Haynes broke up with husband of 6 months Jeff Leatham. 

Now, the celebrity gossip website is also reporting that Haynes has officially filed for a divorce from the celebrity florist. 

"The Teen Wolf star filed docs Tuesday in Los Angeles just 6 months after he married Jeff last October in a star-studded wedding in Palm Springs officiated by Kris Jenner,"wrote TMZ.

Before their split, Haynes and Leatham were planning on having kids together. The news of their breakup last week came on the heels of Haynes releasing a song called "Man It Sucks," although he has taken to Twitter to deny fan accusations of the song being about him.
